City Releases Road Closure Information for the 2017 6ABC/Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade
Philadelphia – The city released details today for the 6ABC/Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade, held Thursday, November 23. The following is the route of the parade, along with the schedule of street closures for the event.
PARADE ROUTE:
– Start at 20th Street and JFK Blvd.
– EB on JFK Boulevard to 16th Street
– NB on 16th Street to Benjamin Franklin Parkway
– WB on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the south-side lanes to the south side of Logan Circle
– WB on Benjamin Franklin Parkway (South-Side Inner Lanes) to Eakins Oval and the Art Museum reviewing Stand
– Parade disperses via Kelly Drive to Sedgley Drive
SCHEDULE OF CLOSURES:
Tuesday, November 21st, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM:
– Eakins Oval, between Kelly Drive and MLK Drive closed for street rehearsals
Wednesday, November 22nd, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM:
– Eakins Oval, between Kelly Drive and MLK Drive
Wednesday, November 22nd, 6:00 PM to Thursday, November 23rd at 2:00 PM:
– Eakins Oval, between Kelly Drive and MLK Drive
Wednesday, November 22nd, 1:00 PM to Thursday, November 23rd at 11:00 AM:
– JFK Boulevard, 20th Street to 30th Street Station
Thursday, November 23rd, 1:00 AM to 2:00 PM:
– Market Street, 19th to 21st Streets
Thursday, November 23rd, 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM:
– 20th Street, Market Street to Ben Franklin Parkway
Thursday, November 23rd, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM:
– Traffic southbound on Kelly Drive will be detoured through the park at Fountain Green Drive to Oxford Drive & 33rd Street
Thursday, November 23rd, 7:40 AM:
– Remaining parade route will be shut down for the step off at 8:15 AM
Parking restrictions will be in place along the parade route and staging areas. Vehicles on the parade route will be relocated, beginning at 4AM on Thursday, November 23rd. Drivers impacted are encouraged to contact Philadelphia Parking Authority at 215-683-9550.
